CRANE WATCH: University of Texas’ Robert B. Rowling Hall

Construction started last November on Rowling Hall, the University of Texas’ new 458,000-square-foot graduate business building. The site is located on the corner of MLK Jr. Blvd. and Guadalupe Street. When complete, Rowling Hall will house the McCombs School of Business’ graduate programs, as well as an extension of the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center.

Recently, a tower crane was erected on the site as construction starts going vertical:

Rowling Hall was designed by Ennead Architects and Jacobs Engineering, and DPR Construction is the construction manager. It is expected to be completed in early 2017. Below is a rendering of the project:
