Downtown Construction Update – Part 1 (PHOTOS)
Construction activity around downtown Austin doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, and sometimes it can be hard to keep track of all the projects that are underway. BuildingATX is here to help! Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening downtown as of mid-August 2014:
Tower cranes continue to dominate the skyline
The Bowie has topped out and is scheduled to open in November.
Hotel Van Zandt’s concrete structure is peeking above the trees on Rainey Street
The Colorado Tower office building is also topped out.
The 38-story GreenWater residential tower is just getting out of the ground
Nearby, the Seaholm retail (foreground) and residential tower (background) are making progress.
The 7Rio residential tower also appears to be at its final height.
South of the river, construction of The Catherine continues, while the trailhead improvements (foreground) wrap up.
